Winchester Senior Center is a wonderful place to meet new people, spend time with friends from years gone by, pursue new or favorite interests, share a talent or special interest, or make a difference in someone else's life. With Free WiFi and computer lab, the Center is a friendly and convenient place to connect with those who are far away as well as those who are here.

Senior Nutrition Program
By contract, Area Five Agency on Aging and Community Services operates a congregate meal site at the Winchester Senior Center.
Meals are served Monday – Friday at 11:00 a.m. and are available on a donation basis to persons 60 years of age or older.
Reservations must be made by Noon the day before. Call 260.563.4475 and ask for the kitchen to make a reservation.
Low Impact Fitness
Led by former Physical Education teacher Mary Jo McClelland, the class combines aerobic and flexibility exercises appropriate for the senior.
Classes are approximately 45 minutes long and are held on Mondays and Thursdays at 9:45am and Wednesdays at 3pm. There is no cost to attend.

Pop Art Workshop, July 23 and 25, Tuesday and Thursday, 1pm – 2:30pm
Discover the Pop Art of Robert Indiana with Sarah Andrews, art teacher at WC Mills and WMS. Robert Indiana's popular art has been featured nationwide. Come and learn about this POPular artist and try your hand at creating your own pop art! No experience needed and offered by donation.

The Art of Gardens Excursion, Tuesday, August 6, 10am – 1pm
Art is all around. What better place to take in the beauty of nature than in a garden! Join us for a guided tour of the beautiful Charley Creek Gardens and a picnic lunch. The walking tour is over a varied terrain and includes a waterfall, stone labyrinth, evergreen maze, wildflower garden and a variety of beautiful plants and colors.
For those needing assistance, a multi-passenger golf cart will be available for an additional fee of $4 per person. Tour, picnic and transportation to the Gardens are provided for $15 per person.
Reservations are due July 26 and may be made by calling the Senior Center, 563-4475.

Miniature Garden Workshop, Tuesday, August 6, 1pm
Indiana Artisan Sue Scamihorn combines her love of nature, art and clay into fanciful miniature gardens. She has offered to share her talents at the Miniature Garden workshop.
Participants will learn how to design a miniature garden with plants and other items. Supplies will be provided or guests may bring their own container. Sue's whimsical clay creations will be available for purchase.
This workshop is offered by donation. Reserve your space today by calling the Center at 563-4475.

Bearcreek Farms Excursion
Friday, September 27, 9:30am – 5pm
NOTE: Although this excursion isn't until September, reservations and payment must be made by August 26.
Travel with us to Bryant, IN for a day at Bear Creek Farms! We'll enjoy a great homestyle noon meal together. The 2pm show is "Legends . . a 50s Tribute Show!" featuring an Elivis impersonator. Yes, Elvis will be in the building! Cost for this Excursion is $50.
Winchester Senior Center is for older citizens of ALL ages in Wabash County–everyone is welcome! Winchester Senior Center provides information, activities, and services to promote healthy aging. Some of the activities require a fee or suggest a donation, but many are offered at no charge.
Celebrate Christmas in Nashville, TN
December 10-12, 2013
We have the opportunity to take a group of up to 30 people to Nashville in December. Reservations are due September 15 with half of the cost due at that time and the balance due October 1. Cost for 30 people will be $543.57 and cost for 26 people will be $627.20. This is a fantastic trip that is well worth the expense!
The trip includes: travel in Lightrider, a commercial tour bus; stay at the beautiful Opryland Hotel decorated for Christmas, and see the Hall of Trees, Treasures for the Hoidays Craft, Antique & Art Show, Holiday Train Ride, Gingerbread Corner, Cookies with Mr. & Mrs. Claus & the ICE! Presentation; guided tour of Nahsville including Homes of the Stars, 2nd Avenue, the Parthenon and the Ryman Auditorium; Lorrie Morgan Christmas Dinner & Show; Radio City Rockettes performance; Lunch Cruise on the General Jackson.
