The Wabash County Council on Aging Inc. began producing Grandma's Fudge in 2004. One hundred percent of the profits from the sale of Grandma's Fudge are used to benefit the many functional areas of the Wabash County Council on Aging. These areas include:
- The Dallas L. Winchester Senior Center–Since 1974, the Wabash County Council on Aging has been fostering independence by meeting the needs of Wabash County residents. The Senior Center provides a variety of activities, services and opportunities for life-long learning to Wabash County residents.
- Wabash County Transit–The Wabash County Transit provides public transportation to county residents of all ages.
- The Food Pantry at Dallas L. Winchester Senior Center–The Food Pantry serves people of all ages, based on need.
- Senior Transitions– Senior Transitions provides a licensed social worker to assist older adults and their families as changes occur in their lives.
Grandma's Fudge is made right here in Wabash, Indiana at the Senior Center and can be found at vendors throughout Wabash. Each pound of fudge sold helps the Wabash County Council on Aging achieve its mission: to assist the citizens of Wabash County in meeting their social, physical, economic and mobility needs with an emphasis on persons of age 60 and over.
